seriously impressive results with some pretty basic pads and polishes too. Nothing extremely technical or elaborate and great results. Did you do anything with the gray trim? front bumper looks like it has some staining but i'm thinking it might be damage?

To the OP, beautiful work. Thx for sharing.

all car manufacturers to switch from shooting single stage lacquers and enamels to the new BC/CC paint systems but everyone did eventually switch over because they had to for 2 reasons. If anyone is interested in the 2 reasons let me know and I'll share why.
:)

Thank you Belo. :xyxthumbs:

Appreciate the kind words. :props: Yeah the exterior trim was pretty weathered & really could’ve done with some Solution Finish to bring it back but it just wasn’t in the budget for this one.

Awesome job. I woulda thought repaint with original shape. Funny you thought boring. Always like those sprinters especially the camper conversions. While reason why I clicked!

Legend mate. Best part is you know exactly what is going to get the job done.

Did a Crafter last week so I know how they roll.

How do you bill a job like this? Is it a lower end one step or did you upsell to something more intermediate?

Indeed. :xyxthumbs:

This Blue one is less Oxidised than the Maroon one but the Maroon one didn’t really have a great deal of marring, & this Blue one is kinda beat up in that regard. I’m gonna tackle this one pretty much the same - I’ll hit the roof with 3D HD Speed for a couple of reasons - Oxidation is heavy but marring is light & Well - One step.

The sides & the bonnet have, I guess - moderate/heavy marring & with the bonnet being the exception, not so much oxidation. I know it’s gonna be on the soft side & without confirming with a test spot, I’ll guess with a Lake Country CCS or Hybrid Force in Orange on the Flex 3401 paired with HD ONE for the chopping, & perhaps follow with HD Speed on White Hybrid Force from Lake Country.

The budget is more for this one & yes, the exterior trim will have Solution Finish treatment & the interior is being detailed too.

Pricing - I kinda guesstimate on an hourly rate really. The Maroon one I still “made” money but was a little bit of sympathy mixed with the shear joy of actually turning it around kinda budget. This Blue one is more of an actual job & almost twice the price. I’m looking forward to it too. :xyxthumbs:

Appreciate your comments buddy. :props:

Right on mate, the blue one will prove a task with marring and interior.

I find S/S awesome fun to work on for before and after when oxidised, however, when it comes to marring, I’d take a 2 pac any day.

Your approach sounds solid, with any luck the 3D One will finish on point without stepping down.

. . . Interior done, Solution Finish done & exterior done. Marring on the bonnet (cat using it as a launching pad) was a little too deep to safely make a huge difference but other than that the rest came up well. :xyxthumbs:

Solid result mate, the solution finish sure makes a difference.

Are the roofs rated for load?

Great question & one Mercedes Benz NZ couldn’t answer . . .

I proceeded with caution obviously but these things are solid! They don’t even Flex a little. :xyxthumbs:
