SKECHERS Shoes?

Sounds like you need to wear a pair of Hoka shoes. My wife is a nurse and half of her unit wears them. She got them at REI and after a week she didn’t like the fit, so they swapped her out for a different size option and model without question.

They’re very popular for runners and distance walkers (or people on their feet all day).
 
For work boots the best I've owned are Keen. For regular sneakers I really dig Pumas. The suedes are quite fashionable.
