Sounds like you need to wear a pair of Hoka shoes. My wife is a nurse and half of her unit wears them. She got them at REI and after a week she didn’t like the fit, so they swapped her out for a different size option and model without question.
They’re very popular for runners and distance walkers (or people on their feet all day).
