Re: Sneak Peek! - McKee's 37 at Cars & Coffee Tech Session Tomorrow!

Sweet!

Ah I think I see DP's replacement line... :)

Yep, found a use for the leftover DP bottles. I will miss DP. I guess they will be collectors items in 50 years.

Guess I'll be trying it out when it goes on sale.

It's 7:45am in the morning here in sunny Stuart, Florida and in about 2 hours I'll start the Cars & Coffee Tech Session and showcase the new compound, polish and jeweling wax.

The paint on the 1959 Cadillac resembles most daily drivers in that it is filled with millions of light or shallow swirls and scratches and along side all these shallow swirls and scratches I can see a lot of random isolated deeper scratches or RIDS.

I'll be showing the tool that started it all in the orbital polisher world and that's the Porter Cable dual action polisher.

I'll be using the most simple pads, 5.5" thin foam flat pads.

The tool and the pads are key but as I type on this forum all the time, and emphasize in my detailing classes, the most important factor when it comes to polishing paint is the,

Abrasive Technology

And Bob wouldn't put his name on any of these products unless they were first class, top shelf and pro grade.

Here's what the fin fin Caddy looks like in the sun....

One thing for sure... if I were not confident in the PC, the pads and these new McKee's compounds, polishes and waxes I certainly wouldn't be doing a LIVE demonstration in front of a PACKED HOUSE this morning here at Cars & Coffee or in front of our guest... Wayne Carini.

The compound and polish are absolute defect killers. You can use them with any tool, any pad and even by hand.

To me... my favorite product is the jeweling wax. This is going to become your new favorite product.

Jewelling Wax

Definition: An ultra fine cutting polish and wax combination that when used with a soft foam finishing or jewelling pad will maximize paint gloss, shine, depth and clarity while leaving behind a layer of protection.

You can use the jeweling wax after the compound and polish, or after just the compound or after just the polish.

You can also use it as a stand-alone product for doing high quality production work or for maintaining cars you've already performed the correction, polishing and waxing on.

It's truly going to be my new favorite product.

Stay tuned for more!

:D

You were right Mike!!! The 50/50 shot Paul posted in the Feb 13 Cars and Coffee picture thread looks amazing!!! The results speak for itself. I can't wait to get my hands on this new product line because it looks like it's a WINNER! And like you said, Bob wouldn't put his name on this product line if it didn't perform. Great job to the entire team at Autogeek!

This 50/50 shot speaks for itself!

Wow can't wait to polish this beauty it gunna be a knock out

When the new line cones out, it would be great if there was a table or cross reference chart indicating which of the old XMT and DP products the new product replaces. E.g. Xmt360 is replaced by McKee 123 or XMT polish #2 is replaced by McKee 456.

I can't wait to try all 3 out on my next project. Anyone know when they will be available?

My first time doing any actual high quality paint correction was with a Porter Cable and the XMT line. It's what got me hooked so it's a bit sad to see it go, but it looks like you guys have really consolidated and simplified the offerings with the new product line, kudos!
