So angry!

bologna with a mix of brake fluid

I know it sucks and if you confront the person they'll probably deny it. If you didn't catch the person in the act they won't admit that they where at fault unless you go all CSI on them matching the paint transfer to their car model etc etc. Also if you confront them you better be ready for a battle of words and other crap that usually comes with this when you accuse someone of doing something wrong.

So yeah shaving cream, a pack of Oscar Myers bologna launch meat, and if you wanna go on the extreme buy a spark plug......

Oh I should just shut up.

Spark plug? Can you just use their own taillight bulb for that, or is that just in the movies?

Never knew about the taillight bulb. I know the tips of the spark plugs can break/crack/web safety glass with no problem.

I think I know who it was as I recall who parked beside me this a.m.

I dont know if I should say something to the person that I think it was or not?

Sorry that happened to you, but it would not be in your be interest to approach someone about a door ding, especially if you aren't 100% sure, and even if you were 100% positive................:argue:...nothing good will come out of it! I promise you that. Just keep it moving and park far away in the future.

Rather than confront/accuse your coworker, maybe you can work it into a conversation with them and hope they come clean. Just let them know how dissapointed you are that someone would do that and not leave a note or something, and let them know what you would have done if it was you inflicting the dent. There's a chance that their feeling of guilt will compell them to admit to it and make it right. That way you don't create a hostile work environment (especially if it wasn't really him/her). And if they did it, it is possible that they didn't think they caused any damage, and this will give them the opportunity to fess up. Just a thought....

Thank you all for you feedback and understanding! It really means a lot to have like minded people to vent to.

The person was out today, so I couldnt talk to this co-worker. I did mention it to as co-worker, they said that they did leave to go to lunch together and didnt see them ding my door. They work with this person more then I do and assured me that if they did it they would have let me know.

Being that they left some else could have easily done it.

I may mention it to them in conversation as mentioned above, I really dont want to accuse them as I have to work with this person daily.

In the meantime Ill be touching this up, I already have several layers over the chip, it doesnt look as bad, but no matter you will always be able to see it. I guess it adds some character to the car.

Thanks again for the help.

Bobby! You are nuts! If you would do that to someone now, Im sure they would sue you and call the police. Im going to dig out my tire iron and take it with me to work tomorrow!

I was just at the grocery store and I saw a nice Synergy Green 2011 Camaro parked away from everyone else. Next thing I know someone in a trashy old beater parks right next to it. Of all the places to park they choose that spot. They didn't do anything, but for some reason when you park a nice car away from everyone else that always seems to invite someone with crap for a car to park right next to yours. It's angers me to no end.

I usually park wherever I want to, and to be honest, I have never had a door ding. Go figure.

My advice would be to buy a couple of these and stick one to each side of your vehicle when you park: When parking becomes a tight squeeze, trust The Park Smart Stick-On Door Guard to protect doors! park smart door protector, parksmart car door guard,. That, or just park by a curb and put one on the side not against the curb.
thats a good idea but i know me and i would always forget to put it there and is it a magnet? bc im really against putting something that has a magnet on my car. its just me

No, from the looks of it, they're just suction cup hangers like this:

hum............... really i just might have to get a pair and keep them in my trunk but again i'll prob forget about them lol

I know how you feel, my wife's car is full of dings from her workplace parking lot. She has a small lot to park in and there isn't a spot where she can park all by herself. It really gets me that people really pay little attention to what they are doing.

I remember when I had my 1997 ford taurus. It was a piece of poo but I loved the thing to death. It was my first car and I had it repainted at Earl Scheib. At the time, I didnt know what a good and bad paint job looked like. After I got into detailing I realized it wasnt the best paint job. Didnt even had a clear coat. However, I tried my best and I think I made the car look pretty good for a 350 dollar paint job.

Anyways, I thought my car looked hot. So get this, sometime during the night at my high school prom some dumbass backed into my rear bumper splinter and chipping the paint in that spot. It didnt dent, but it screwed it up. Im glad I didnt notice that same night or I would have gone ballistic and it would have ruined my night and my dates night lol. I found out the next morning and I was beyond angry. I literally had it repainted maybe 2 weeks prior.

Same car. I had gone on a church youth group trip and I had left my car parked in the church parking lot. We got back like 2 days later and as I was putting my stuff in my car I noticed that someone didnt know there cars boundries and side swiped my car! Surpisingly they didnt dent the metal and didnt totally ruin the paint. Almost like they sanded a 2 foot streak of paint with their bumper. It wasnt very noticeable, however, I had new paint and I was an autogeek in the making so your damn right I noticed!

I had alot of bad luck and several learning experiences with that car. Almost killed myself taking a right turn to fast once. My car started to slide and I over corrected and it threw the car the other way over the curb devider into the opposite lane.

I eventually totalled the car out because it was getting old and needed aloto repairs. So I sold it for 300 bucks and put all the money I saved up into a 2005 Nissan Altima 3.5SE! I always park park far away from everyone else or next to curbs. :dblthumb2:
