So check THIS OUT!

European delivery is quite common these days. I thought about a little family vacation when I purchased my new MB, except Tuscaloosa didn't qaulify as a european vacation. Next time.

Not sure what REI is talking about.

A European gray-market BMW is certainly not street legal in the US. You can bring it up to US codes but it is an expensive way to go.

You can walk into any US BMW dealer, order a BMW using the European delivery option (European Delivery - Overview - BMW North America=, )go to the BMW factory and pick up the car. You can then drive it in Germany (and other European countries) and have it shipped back to the US. The car is then totally legal and is built to US specs.

But that part was left out. I was thinking he was just going to Germany and buying a BMW off the lot.

Nice gift! I say take advantage of the situation. I don't see how you could go wrong having the headmaster in your corner :)

Also I forgot all about picking it up at the factory was actually something the German car makers allow. Remember a big splash Audi made with the R8 being able to pick up at the factory was like a 1~5k dollar option (coocoo coocoo).

I would return the generosity by giving a nice detail tutorial if that guy isn't as much 'into' it as you are Cane.

Yep, it was thoughtful gift. I been telling him about Dodo Juice, Wolfgang products, Autogeek itself and how I learned so much form the forum!

Never used the products before - has anybody used this particular kit?

Yeah, he lives in a high rise, I told him give me the keys :props: and I will take EXTRA special care of it! Did I tell you it is a vert? One button push vert??? It is a bad, bad, machine!

Jeff,
:wow: That is absolutely incredibly awesome!! :wow: :urtheman:

That looks like the Zymol Japon Wax. How about my RX350????

:xyxthumbs:

Yes, unfortunately, Japon wax is made for Japanese cars so it will only work on my car and Michael's...

what is one button push vert? Sounds like a desirable option?

anyone seen the latest bmw commercial where this skeletonized electronic vehicle is being paraded around coming out in 2013. Looks pretty neat but like no car out there today except concepts...

very nice gift wish someone would gift me something that sweet!. oh and fyi some cars you can legally import if its on the usdot/epa exception list, and yes you can own and drive a rhd car legally just needs to be on the exception list..if i can remember correct most don't need to be modified to us spec as some have been proven to meet/exceed our standards..one that comes to mind is a 1991(ONLY '91) toyota mr2's even the turbos....i hate usa's importation rules there stupid and make no sense. Japanese car standards are usually better then usa even emissions are better on some cars without the emission controls....makes me want to move to canada!

Yes... nice wax, I use it as a topper after Klasse AIO and SG.
follow the instructions and it works and lasts better than average (and the smell is nice too).
Just do not let it dry for too long, the high Carnuba content makes it very hard to remove once it is dry (you will probably have to put it in the sun to warm it up before you can remove the dried wax).
Keep it AWAY from plastic trim... unless you like gray.
Enjoy the nice (and expensive) gift.
