I was polishing some gmc envoy chrome looking wheels that are heavily stained with water and oxidation, I did one spoke with m105 and a yellow applicator pad, I had to do it 3 times to get it almost flawless but it did come out awesome! now, the center GMC CAP the m105 left very fine scratches behind, im figuring its one of the two, either I need to use a finer polish on it OR optimum metal polish?? any input?

Is the center cap metal or plastic? It is possibly Chrome clad plastic. If so, try a plastic polish.

its plastic, so i could use megs plastx?

I have never used plastix, but have used the.mothers with success. I am sure it would be fine. Try a small area first though and be gentle.

Try Meg's PlastX, M205, or Poli-Seal if you have it.
