So Many Choices, Which One?

Start with some quality microfiber towel like the Arctic Whites. Using a big box towel can scratch your finish ruining your work.

This is good for the engine bay:
Meguiars Plastic & Vinyl Coating, exterior trim coating, trim dressing, vinyl protectant

Forgot to add that this is a great product. I use it very often.

Thanks for the advice! I have the majority of those exact products today, except I apply by hand. I need to use A machine instead. I've read some on the GG polisher. Did you get the smaller version as well?

Thank you to all of you!

I use a porter cable to maintain my personal cars. It does the job for me. I also have used those meguiar's products and I am a big fan of them.

They have worked well for me. I think the issue is I need to use the PC to get rid of the swirls. At first the car looks great sitting in the garage, but then when the sun shines through the garage door window; the side of the car almost changes shades of black. I'm guessing it is heavily swirled.

The swirls are my fault. After do Meg polish and wax I would dust it with a California duster. Hey it's easy to dust with, but not so good on the paint. I've since switched to using waterless wash or detail spray depending on the level of dust.

What I really need is something to reduce the dust.

Dust is a tough battle to win especially if your car sits outside 24/7. You have the right idea in using either a detail spray or waterless wash. No need to use the duster.

This car happens to be a garage queen. However, the garage door is opened multiple times per day and the car is a magnet for dust.

There is a new LSP coming out from Sonus designed to repel dust. They are calling it a "coating", but it applies like a sealant and lasts 3-6 mos. it supposedly repels dust through a positive charge. I have some , but have not used it yet, so I can't comment how effective it is.
