Washed and did a quick detail of our 96 SVT Cobra on Friday night. Touched it up some more and polished the wheels Sat morning then went to a car show in the afternoon. Sunday morning played drums in the church paise band 2 services. Came home and crashed. Went for brunch at IHOP. Brother in law visited. His Saturn was covered in bird crap. So I told him how it eats clear coat. I then power washed it for him and put some Meg's UQW on the hood. Suggested he do the rest of it. Then we watched War Horse. Good but too long.
I spent my Saturday detailing a fellow S2ki forum member's white S2000 for free.
I broke down the techniques of washing, wheels, sealing, and did a 2 step correction on his car. Came out really nice. I didnt take any pictures because it was really dark when we finished and the pictures before werent capturing the swirls but I removed about 95% of the swirls and 85% of the fine scratches in the finish. Felt really good to help out a fellow friend.
Oh ya, in addition to he above work I also squeezed in a bike ride, dinner out with Mrs Gloss, Avengers with Jr Gloss and Mrs Gloss and then dinner out last night with the whole fam...
I spent the weekend at Mike detail boot camp, So you a guess you can say I worked for free to SeaJay, wait a minute I paid to work. But it was the best money I ever spent a boy did I learn allot. Id gladly do it again. And probably will.
Drove my Son to and from a play date, mowed the lawn, burned some hot dogs on the grill, Attended Free Comic Book Day at my local shop, went and saw The Avengers movie, and watched the new Sherlock series on PBS.
Oh, I also found time to wash the Fusion and put a layer of Red Mist on the paint and Tyromania on the tires.
Garaged my car. Gave it a very through ONR wash. Two coats of Danase Glaze which is now called Wet Glaze 2.0. Tommorrow two coats of Collinite 845. Next day 1Z Vinyal-Rubber Care and Protectant on all exterior trim (interior is already immaculate) and Mothers Refections Tire Protectant. The I'll be ready to install my car cover using flannel sheets undreneath on horizonal surfaces- hood, roof and trunk. Got sick and tired of cleaning all the tiny tree sap spots everyday. I fiqured a car cover was worth a try considering the amount of time I was spending cleaning the tree droppings and the constant condensation issues. The car cover is 4 layers (all weather) and breathable. I haven't tried to fit it yet, hopefully it will fit right. It's supposed to be guaranteed to fit and has a lifetime warranty. We'll see.
