This guy. I come home after a rain and pull in the garage to towel dry and supplement with a little spray wax. While I'm working the trunk, I hear this deafening trill behind me, I whip around to find this not 3 feet away.

I thought for sure as I continued to move around the car and work, they'd get scared off, they're usually not that comfortable. They stayed that close, totally enthralled with what I was doing until I was finished. Unfortunatetly, I couldn't get any action shots of myself with them along side as my 7 month old son and I were the only ones home at the time.

If they come back again, I'm totally marketing this. :dblthumb2:

Sandhill Crane, also the name of my connecting street in my neighborhood.

I'm going to train them to do wheel wells and door jams. A full line of beak attachments, Crane's Roost Detailing. Possibilities are endless.

I had a red tailed hawk glide about 15-20 feet or so over my head while I was detailing once. That was pretty cool.

You had such a shine going that they came to admire their reflections. Haha

I know what those birds are planning...all birds have one thing in common when they see a clean car :detailer:.

Yes, they all are cute and your stunned to seem nature so close to you, but then BAM! You've turned your back and they've laid a fresh one down for you.

Maybe they were enticed by the bright microfibers and spray wax aroma?

That's kool!

I get ducks in the spring 'watching', kinda unnerving when you think there is something watching.

Bill

That's awesome!! We have them walk in our parking lot at work sometimes but like you said usually will run from you if you try to get close.

Lol at the spy comment :)

I have detailed with lovebugs before. LOL the little buggers just kept landing on the car. The more I polished the more of them landed. I considered putting them to work. I was thinking I could capture them and put them in a glass jar near the car. When all of them were on one side of the jar facing the car I would know it's gloss was at peak level Im the MAN

I think the one in the back has his head turned because he's the lookout. The other two are planning to rob you. (or worse) The tipoff is that they all have their hands behind their backs concealing weapons. Something must have happened to make them change their minds; maybe it was the fabulous shine on your car.

you know they are prehistoric birds and when they see their reflection in your car they will peck tiny holes in your quarter panel with their beaks
