So you think You've done the nastiest vehicle???... dare to peek!!

I really cant say what I want to say when I saw that interior, or i'd be banned.

Fantastic work!!!
:iagree: with :whs: Wow great turn around... :applause: there is no way I would have touched that interior. You are a true professional... to tackle that nasty.... bleep... bleep... bleep:D

Looks like theres still some swirls.

yep there were still swirls... they didn't pay for a swril free van... just a basic detail, which normally only does wax, but i was feeling generous

I think the world needs a few less kids of that variety, and parents too for that matter. Nice job man - even the unglamorous jobs have to get done. Maybe you should write to "Dirty Jobs" on the Discovery channel and book her car again!

:whs: There's just no excuse for that interior. NONE! Awesome work Dust.

Great job on that mess. Better you then me:D

Nice cleanup D2G. What's wrong with people????? Sorry to say this but it will probably look like that again within a week.

Awesome work. I would have walked away....:D

That may have just set the new record for bad. Good job for hanging in there. Great job on the turn around.

I, sir, bow down to you!

That deserves the "Turn around of the Year" award........hands down!
The paint, the interior, the LEATHER........awesome work!!!

Thanks for this inspiring post!

I would have thrown up.............

then walked away.

You could probably throw up in her van and she wouldn't notice!!:D

I hope there was a nice tip involved.

oooh man I love detailing vehicles in that rough shape, for two reasons. One, it makes the detail so drastic that it's very rewarding and second, the customer is absolutely blown away by the work you do. I'm sure that's exactly what you got Dust. You did a great job bringing that vehicle back to life, interior, exterior look great.

Well done, thank you for sharing.

It takes a certain courage to face a job of that magnatude. You sir, have that courage. Outstanding work.

Very nice and consistent work!

I am sure the owner was blown away. You can really tell when an owner has just given up and is at the point of no return with the vehicle.... You stepped in!

I agree with Nica, those are the best ones to work on because it's a great transformation. Kinda like a new ride you have to have skills to impress the customer and make a real difference!

How much did you charge for such a job... 1million? I would! You did an excellent job.

I know you think Im crazy trying to multi quote this many, I didn't figure I'd get such a response. But uh.... I couldn't walk away from a pay check, yes it was all the "words" nasty you were thinking... and i appreciate all the feedback from "YOU" who understand all the work that goes into detailing:righton:

I know how it feels to see these trashed cars !! No fun, but with one bad one comes 5+ good ones :)

Good job DUST !

WOW! What happened to that one? I guess it had been standing for a while? The before and afters are DRASTIC! That is one nice as hell detail my friend!

I would have cleaned that interior with gas and matches and told them it's on the house. That is truly a job well done.
wow...what is "RL"
RL=Right Look and it's not on AG's list.

What did you use on those seats? Looks like new, awesome job!

I know that the nastiest interior I've seen up to date...Extreme makeover is what I call it...
was owner happy with results???

Dude..that was too funny!! Dust..give you lots of credit man...what a transformation from a turd to a treasure.

I soaked these seats in APC, I know it's a little harsh, but they were DIRTY!! Then caked them with RL leather cleaner

Great job with the exterior. Even better job with the interior!! Can't believe the crap and stains on the carpet, and worse of all, on those seats!! The first few pics of the interior weren't too bad, but they got worse and worse as I scrolled down the page!! How did you stop yourself from puking? I would've used a mask and a barf bag close by, while cleaning.
I like the gas and matches method of cleaning that van the best! LOL
Great job!

Now if you really want to scare yourself just imagine how the house they live in looks!

i have a question... one of my friends is going to pay me to detail a van like this. i was wondering how you would go about detailing the roof of the van. i mean, how would you go about getting up there?

sorry for the thread jack.

well for starters, I'm 6'2... so that helps. Um, get a step ladder and put it parallel to the vehicle. Get a long handled brush.... foam gun if possible, helps with the wash process. to be honest with you for what I charged, I didn't buff the top. I layed to liquid souveran on it, it's just too friggin tall!!!!!

You're kidding right?

Did you look at the before shots? Sometimes all the swirls will not come out. Especially when it comes to the amount being paid.

Nope, Im not kidding. I dont know how much he got paid, or what the agreement was. But I still see swirls in after pictures. So I asked.

Funny you would say something. Why am I not surprised.

Huge turnaround none the less. I still see some swirls on the hood, but the direct sunlight right there in the pic only shows minimal residual. I would've been happy with it just to know I got the interior straightened out and back to an acceptable apperance... Nice job D2G!!
