Soap

Whoa r/c guys lol. Scott where do you go for a Hobby Store, I remember there's one big one somewhere down there. I used to go to Monster Hobbies back inthe day. I had some HPI's, RC-10 GT etc. I still have my R-10 T2 truck that I pry put a grand into, I think that hobby was more addicting then detailing. I even custom fitted a set of Clodbuster monster tires to my truck (had to use a razor blade and painstakingly carve out the placement for the axles). Have a couple motors including a 10-turn electric, that sucker hauls ass with that in. Used to subscribe to the R/C mag, forget what it was called. I'm might get back into it now, they have some badass kits out now.

But yeh, it relates to what you say. I had tons and ton of the r/c stuff from ToysRus, Radio Shack and others growing up. Then a buddy got an RC-10 GT and that's all it took for me to never buy a store r/c again:D

But I still like Duragloss wash and AW for OTC:D , I have NXT but it just sits there.

Scott- Since I've also used Poorboys SSS and love it, how does it compare to the Pinnacle soap, does the Pinnacle have a little more lubricity or soemthing from the coconut oil?

Pinnacles soap is the most luxourious (sp) soap made, it truly could be used in a bath tub and occupant would not know the difference. Alot of foam, nice smell, and works well on carnuabas. It is what I like to call a light soap and might not have the power that can be used with sealants. So when you want to turn the lights down low, romance your finish, or caress your Souveran'd finish, there is absolutely no other choice. Its best for special occasions.

Poorboys SS is about the best soap going for lubrication and pricing. It works well, and would be considered in everybodies top 5 products. I find it similar to Griots Shampoo in terms of looks, ease of use, and lubrication. I would consider it a little harsher than Pinnacles, but nowhere near being a stripper for 'nubas specifically. Wont make a dent in a sealant.

Here is my current r/c money pit...uh I mean hobby. It's a Traxxas Emaxx (hence the user name - carried over from another forum.) It has two stock motors. Uses 2 battery packs (6 cell or 7 cell packs). This is an offroad beast. It has amazing torque. If I yank the trigger, I will flip it on its lid in a split second.

On 14 cells, it'll do 30mph. Now that's not that fast compared to the nitro version, Tmaxx; it will do 40mph. And there are street racers that will do 70mpg. However, this truck currently weights in at 13+ pounds. A 13 pound beast hurtling at you at 30mph hurts!!!! Don't ask me how I know.

I had to replace 4 red stock springs with the 4 blue ultra stiff springs to compensate for the extra weight of the aluminum parts. My next upgrade will be an aluminum chassis.
I put the PC by it to give a sense of scale.

Regarding the soaps, it sounds like the Poorboys is what you want for your regular weekly washes. I mean, what's the point of a weekly wash soap so powerful that it removes your protective coatings, right?

The Pinnacle Soap definately sounds like something that everyone should have
in there arsenal. Had i remembered i could have added the soap to my order.
It would of been nice if someone would have let me try a sample of the new FG soap, but for some reason i was treated like a BALD HEADED STEPCHILD ;)
