It seems that the norm for most of the polishes and kits sold on Autogeek.net are geared to a 2-step polishing system. Medium polish and orange pad, then light polish and white pad, and then wax/sealant/whatever.
But the detailers on here insist that a final "jeweling" step with a very light pad, such as green, gray, or blue will bring out the best gloss.
I'm polishing the hood of my G35 right now with Optimum Polish and a Green Pad. If I follow up with the Optimum Polish and a Gray Pad, will I get more gloss from the paint?
If so, is this the case with any polish, or do some polishes not produce any gloss difference whether you use white or gray?
Thanks,
Emile
