Software Experts? - ZOOM is Malware?

I'm not shocked that it's chock full of security concerns.

What I read is that it installs a type of web server(s) into your operating system and it is these hidden web servers that send out information to other servers.

This pertained to the MAC operating system but my guess is the issue would or could affect any operating system.

All I know is I registered with the ZOOM website but never downloaded the software. :bolt:

I did delete my account - on their site, it's called,

Terminate Account

And even this was a tick tricky to find in my account area.

If security is a big concern, then the WebEx suite is one of the best. Cisco is behind WebEx and security is one of Cisco's areas of expertise. But WebEx is a bit clunky compared to newer products as it started out as a document-sharing app and had its video and audio features added on later.

The guy who started Zoom used to be an engineer at Webex, before Cisco bought out WebEx.
