So I've had my Mustang for almost 2 years now and it’s been a great car. However, it’s only a V6 and I really really like fast cars. So it was time to part with the Stang and look for something else faster. I had the car for sale for a few weeks and had finally received a very promising call.

The only problem: The car was pretty dirty due to rain storms, pesky sprinkler system at home that spews acid water all over the place, bird droppings, etc… AND The guy wanted to come see it the very next day, so I had to make the Mustang look presentable. I didn't have much time due to working late, so I had to do something quick, easy, and effective right after work (around 7:30 PM). That’s when I picked these 2 steps:

TOTAL TIME SPENT: 30 MINUTES Im the MAN

Step 1: Pinnacle Liquid Crystal Waterless Wash with Carnauba 32 oz.
Step 2: Pinnacle XMT Carnauba Finishing Glaze

BEFORE - This is where the annoying sprinkler system decided to spew all over my car

Paint Looks Fantastic!

Oh yeah, the guy came and checked the car out the very next day in the morning. The VERY FIRST thing he said was, "Man, the paint looks amazing". He loved the car, worked out a deal, and bought it. The quick 2 step detail helped tremendously for the sale of the car and I couldn't have asked for better results in such a little time frame that I had. Pinnacle For Win AGAIN!

Thanks for looking and in the future if you're trying to make a car look amazing in 30 minutes or less, use this 2 step method, you won't be disappointed :props:

what are you aiming to get now?

I'm peeking at a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 (AWD Turbo) that has about 435HP at the wheels. We'll see what happens. I'll keep you posted :xyxthumbs:

Paint looks great after that quick two step process.

I have a question. From the picture below you obviously applied the xmt glaze by hand.

Question:

Would a whisper thin (like Mike recommends how to apply wax) application of this product suffice, or should it be applied more 'wet' as in the photo above?

EDIT:

I've never used this product, but I have thought about trying it. I really like xmt 360 and noticed that the xmt glaze contains cleaners as well as wax, similar to xmt 360, with exception of how each product is worked.

I think this is the first time I've seen this glaze mentioned on this forum, and any glaze for that matter, but it's possible I've seen write-ups but don't recall them.

For the maximum filling abilities, I put it on extra thick by hand. My goal was to make the GLOSSIEST/SLICKEST look ever! And the best part, even when applied thick, Pinnacle XMT Carnauba Finishing Glaze was still a joy to work with :xyxthumbs:

Looking good man!! I may have to take a look at Pinnacle products.

GL with the Evo too - is it the MR edition?

Definitely worth looking at Pinnacle Products. One of my favorites!

The 2006 Evo is an SE. But, it's a 2.4L Stroker :righton:

Great share Andre,

I've switched from UWW+ to Pinnacle Waterless and I'll never go back. From the better smell to final slickness and looks, I'm sold.

By the way, I may give the Glaze shown a try, looks very interesting for 30 minutes turnarounds. Thanks a lot for the tips.

Good luck on your new car,

Kind Regards.

Did you only use the plush side of the Gold Plush Jr's for the waterless wash?

I hope everything goes through with the EVO I can't wait to see it!! The important question is what color?

I'm just amazed it only took you 30 minutes. That would've taken me a couple of hours at least...

Thanks Tato. Both products are great and have amazing price points.

Yes I use the plush side, but the most important part, use plenty of towels when using a waterless wash.

From Autogeek.net:
"Choose your waterless washing towels carefully. A very soft towel with a deep nap provides ample room for dirt to accumulate in the towel, rather than being rubbed against the paint. A thin towel with a flat weave or nap will not provide anywhere for loosened dirt to go, so it will be rubbed against the paint as you wipe"

I hope everything goes through with the EVO I can't wait to see it!! The important question is what color?

I've got my fingers crossed. APEX Silver :xyxthumbs:

That's good to know. Thanks for the reply, Andre. Keep on shinin'.

Great job!

Glazes are great for when you're in a pinch. Let us know what car you end up getting.
