I wait 24 hours before applying my second coat

It will not stain the trim, I test it out by applying it to a small area, no staining and the rubber felt so slick.
Will it prevent fading ?
That I wouldn't know bit I'd love to hear from someone knows for sure.
 
After all the accolades that Collinite has received, I just had to try it out so I bought an 18 oz tin of 476S and applied it to my tonneau cover this evening. Following everyone's admonitions to keep the application thin, I used a Griot's Garage 3" DA polisher and it worked very nicely.

I used Mike Phillips' polishing technique to apply the wax and after two passes, the wax was ready to remove. One pass with the MF cloth and the haze was gone with no streaks.

I just wish that the pot had a wider mouth, something like 4.25" so a larger pad could be used to reduce the probability of missing spots.

Over the next couple of days, I'll apply a couple more coats of the 476S.

I might also give the Collinite Marque DElegance Carnauba Paste Wax a try as well.

I would also like to know how long to wait to apply a second coat. I did a second coat on a car immediately after I finished the first one to ensure complete coverage and I had some streaks. could this be due to a second coat to soon? or I may not have let it haze enough.
 
How bad is it if I accidentally get it on the black trim? Just got a 2014 Santa Fe turbo in pearl white and the bottoms and wheel wells are lack trim.

Should I tape?
