Hey guyz, when I wash my mf I use woolite and vinager, and I know some other people use vinager too, but how much do should or could you use per load, I usually match it with the amount of detergent used. Also what ratio do you use for a water alcohal mix for aid in polishing, you know cleaning out fillers. Does anyone use vinager/water mix for anything, I've heard vinager is a really good cleaner. Thanks guyz.

For laundry I use one cup of vinegar in the rinse cycle. The alcohol/water mix for clean ups is 50/50 and I use 50/50 for vinegar/water mix also.

What can the vinager mix be used on, or what do you use it for. And why do you use the vinager in the rinse cycle, not in the wash cycle.

there was recently a post on detailcity from a garment company or something, saying vinegar was bad in excess. I guess it acts like an acid and breaks down the fibers. Microrestore and Pinnacle Rejuvinator for me ...

Not only that, but too much and you start to smell like a 5th grade science fair!!!

That post was by Leo from DF Towel. I don't remember the exact information he stated, but I think he said 1/4 to 1/2 cup of vinegar in the rinse cycle is OK.

OOOH good to know. Thanks. I use vinegar and water mostly for house cleaning. For glass I use my DP Krystal Vision. :) I use the microrestore as well to wash my MF's but something about the vinegar in the rinse cycle makes them softer. I would use a cup of vinegar for a full load ( I have an extra large capacity washer), but after reading what you wrote I would use less if any at all.
