Hello everyone, I'm working on my second pair of headlights using the meguiars headlight and spot repair kit. I went through all the sanding steps using a interface, the sanding discs provided and the mini air orbital sander. When i finished i noticed i had pigtails in the lens cover. Why did i get them this time and how do i keep this from happening?

must have gotten a piece of grit in there. When I wetsand headlights, I'm constantly spritzing ONR clay lube to get rid of the particles I'm sanding off

I re sanded the lens with new sanding discs. The outcome was better but still not completely pigtail free.

Not familiar with the kit you have. They actually have grits that low for the air sander?

I've never heard of anyone using anything less than 800 to start

I've only ever used 1500 then 2500

it's possible that your discs aren't dirty but you're just not getting out some of the marks from the 320 grit

Yeah..the kit comes with 320,500,800,1000,1500,3000.
