Howdy!

I'm new here so I hope you guys don't take me out back and beat me up as part of some initiation ritual.

Anyways, my plans are to start an auto reconditioning service sometime in the future. Could be soon. Might be a year or two. Might start off part-time. The guy I work for now might decide to retire and I'm just planning for when that day comes.

I want to do detailing, paint correction, paint chip repair, windshield repair, etc., etc.

Mobile if I can't find a fixed location. Maybe mobile AND fixed location. Just whatever the market wants.

Definitely will do a website. Have already built numerous websites, so that's not a problem.

Any advice for doing this kind of biz in central MS will be welcome. Quality is not the question. Just getting enough work to make a go of it is all that worries me. People around here don't like to pay for quality. They want something cheap, and I don't want to work all day for peanuts. My time and skill is valuable to me.

Nope, no initiation rituals around here.

:welcome: to Autogeeks online.

Thanks!

And in case anyone is wondering about my screen name, it's the name I go by in COD:MW3.

And if you play Battlefield 3, I go by Blackheart_HMFIC.

Wish I had a dollar for every map I played on that.

May I suggest moving to a place where either the cars get dirtier or the people are less stingy? I see tons of cars here in Chicagoland that need some TLC and I know there's plenty of money to pay for it judging by the number of Porsches in the driveways where I live.

Oh, how I wish I could. I would love to live in Oregon or Southern Idaho.

If I ever reach the point where I'm financially able to, I am.

Whereabouts in Mississippi are you? My company has a plant down in West Point that I visit from time to time. I always make it a point to stay in Starkville.

Kosciusko.

We go to Starkville to the theatre sometimes.

Mississippi State fan? I have been to Starkville quite a few times but not much there except MSU.

Sounds like you may have a market for quick express details. You could still offer the paint correction but your main focus being a cheaper ( still worth your time) 2-3 hour express detail.
Welcome to AGO!!
