Some inital thoughts on Carpro new Clear Cut Compound

Zach..Any chance you could share as well. I have a bottle of Reflect and Essence and have yet to try them out.

I wonder if this if more agressive than Menzerna 300 and Meguiars M101?

Justin, can you lessen the haze left behind if you don't follow the instructions and ease off the pressure on your last pass?

Actually I tried this and it didn't work. I tried shortening the work time to and it hazed more. I also tried using a yellow pad on the Ctsv instead of a green pad and got a worse finish with it. It definitely is a little quirky but when following the directions it works. I also just tried it with a microfiber cutting pad and it works awesome and does leave some hazing. No matter what though it does dust. But that doesn't really bother me.

What kind of products do you pro guys seem to use more when correcting gm paint? I've done 4 Silverado and own 1 and my 105 and orange lake country flat get laughed at. Tried a grey thinpro and it worked after about 8-10 passes with a pc7424 on speed 6 with heavy pressure but surely there is something better. Would this new compound be a viable option or should I look into the boss FCC or some menzerna, maybe some m101? Hit me with your knowledge

On GM paint I always get good cut with FG400 or GG Fast Correcting Cream paired with Meg MF Cutting Discs or GG MF. Both will need to be followed with a light polish to remove haze left from cutting step.

I usually follow with m205 but would be open to other polishes

I typically use M100, FCC and now will definitely be using clearcut as it cuts like crazy. But I would suggest getting some Griots Garage BOSS microfiber cutting pads to really amp up the cut. M205 is a great polish and one I typically reach for as it works. But sometimes I finish with Optimum hyper polish.

M100 is weak, M101 is strong and i havent used FCC. If this beats M101 hands down then it is a must have. I have used Menzerna 300 and it cuts s lot but leaves an awfull finish.

Have you tried S2 Orange?

The new s1 looks interesting p1200 I think it's listed at. I think clear cut will have it's place for me. Looking forward to test it out when I can.

S3 Gold is more 1500, S2 for me cuts more and is onpar M101,SHC300 in cut.

I think S3 Gold XXL and M101 are similar in terms of cutting power. Menzerna 400 is also on the same league, S2 is only marginally more agressive if that. Menzerna 300 however is quite more agressive and matte down the surface like no other. My favourite compounds are Koch Chemie H8.02, Nanolex Heavy Cut. Also Angelwax Resurrection is amazing, but i guess all of those are not available in USA. +

I was thinking 1 or more from this list.
M101, FCC, Menzerna 300/400, Sonax cutmax, or this new carpro stuff. Only issue is I don't need a huge bottle to start with so was leaning towards Menzerna line

Koch Chemie H8 is amazing, Resurrection marred paint for me and had less cut than 400. Redemption on the other hand is beautiful in finish. I won’t touch Nanolex ever again after buying a couple dozen pads that were advertised as heavy cut but tear up and shred easily and have less cut than a normal orange. S2 Orange for me is superior to 300 but I have way too much 400 and 300 so try and use that up.

I see theres an S2 Black also, seems Sholls has been busy. I am now quite keen on Clear Cut, S1 & S2 Black, fun times ahead.
