I will search for these answers after I post the questions, but I figured I may get a quicker response to them by just asking.

1. How much is too much? I know I don't need to spend hours every week on my car, but what about regular car washes and products like Duragloss Aquawax? And beyond that how often should I use soemthing like the Duragloss #111?

2. What's the best way to clean/wash microfiber detailing towles? And what about microfiber drying towels? I have both but I'm pretty sure throwing them through a normal wash cycle wouldn't pan out so well.

Normal washing of the towels is fine, just don't use powder detergents. And only dry microfiber towels together, not with other types of towels. And don't use fabric softener. You can throw in a plastic ball to help minimize the static buildup.

I only have liquid detergent, so that isn't a big deal. I didn't think throwing them in the dryer was a good idea but I guess there's really no reason not to. Today is so nice I might go wash my car again.

I like useing a little liquid detergent and adding some vinager in the rise cycle and do a double rinse

Trend liquid works very well........

does any "plastic" ball work, or does it have to be one of those blue balls?

I have thought about using racketballs. I think my dryer ate my blue balls. Or my mom hid them. ;)

to the OP - How much is too much? That is all up to you. Wash like every week or every other week for best results. If you wash properly, you shouldn't need to polish more than once a year. That means about 1-2 hours a week and you will have a better looking car than 90% of the people out there.
Washing towels - they have specific washes out there for microfiber if you have extra cash.

Gosh, after two weeks i would feel like I am driving the dirt mobile!!! Every 5 -10 days for me, at most.
I know, i am sick...

Using a sealant such as 111, should last around 6 months from my understanding, esp. if you keep it up with AW.

Let's put it this way, when you wash your car, your almost guaranteed to strip off some wax or sealant. If you use premium washings such as Pinnacle, DG's, Wolfgangs, etc. etc., you'll more than likely strip off next to nothing, and maybe help rejuvenate your sealant.

Basically, use AW about every 3 weeks if you don't like washing your car 3 times a week. If you like to wash your car often, than use AW maybe every 2 weeks. AW is a spray sealant, so it will last slightly longer than a spray carnauba.

micro restore is great for MF towel...some use woolite...others just wash them twice...its really up to you...like everyone else posted fabric softener is a big no no...i usually wash my car every 5 to 10 days depending on my schedules...its really up do you...the longer you go without washing the more work you will have to do per wash...
