Hi,
Few weekends ago the sun comes out and the temperature was going over 8 degrees here. So I decided to prep my pcars paint for a little test of the Zym** concours glaze that I bought few months ago.

The car was built in 2006 and its in a very good condition. These steps were my choice for today:

- foamed with Gilmore and Zaino shampoo
- washed with Surf city garage wash&wax shampoo
- dried with Aquatouch FBZ and #34
- polished with Rotex125, white LC Pad and Megs #82 partially, some parts with Megs #80 followed with #82
- Zym** Hd Cleanse (so great and easy)
- Zym** concours glaze
Buffing towels were Aquatouch FBZ (small one) for the polish, Monster Fluffies for the HD and the wax
- Glass with Megs glass cleaner 1:10

Sorry, but no before pics. In the spring time I will prep the car much better for this luxury wax, but it was only for a test. ;)

The water beading of this car some days later was better than every beading before. Just awesome.
Comments are -as always- welcome. Thanks for looking

Very nice pics of your Astra, the reflection shots are just amazing, congrats!
Here in Mexico the Astra is a top seller, specially the turbo :righton:

This is the first time I've seen the words Zymol HD-Cleanse and "easy" in the same sentence. :D

Nice. I hv never heard anyone describe HD Cleanse as EASY. How did you apply and remove?

HD Cleanse and not easy to use? For me its easy to use. It goes easy on, easy off and gives a very nice shine.

The reflection and paint depth is a mile deep

Nice job!!!!

man, I love your Opel! It's headlight design, it's awesome! Looks great, thanks for sharing.

Holy cow that is outstanding! Great job!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it would look just as nice with Souveran ... did like the little solicitation sticker for Zymol on rear !

Did you use a special technique for getting it off so easy? I tried the hd before and it was a pain in the a** to get off.

zymol and swissvax are in a league of there own. I have 2 tubs of zymol and 4 tubs of souveran looking to get concorso soon

car looks amazing, tho I hate HD cleanse

Having tried most every Estate Glaze from Zymol up thru Destiny, there is not enough difference to justify cost. I can also tell you by blind test, nobody else notices a clear difference side by side. I still have a 360.00 tub of Ital (new version) sitting on the shelve that was no better.

I wont get into Swissol , now Swisswax, other than to say they are quite similar to Zymols offerings and outcome.

Pinnacle offers a great carnauaba, at a reasonable price that can compete with these offerings and save you some money. Thats why it is consistently the one others are measured against. :buffing:

Dollar for dollar it's certainly hard to beat Souveran. Also, :iagree: 100% that most people will not notice the difference. In fact, most people can't tell the difference between Souveran and Meguiar's Cleaner Wax on a properly prepped car.

I however believe that I can tell the difference between various products though the differences are often slight. IME/IMO there is a definite difference when using Zymol or Swissvax compared to Souveran. With Zymol or Swissvax the paint has noticeably more depth and just seems to "come alive." This is the best way I can describe it and it's impossible to capture in a picture because it's a 3-D effect which won't show up in a 2-D picture.

There is more than just looks to a wax though. Zymol can be a bear to use but IME keeps it's just applied look longer than Souveran. Swissvax is much easier to use than Zymol, has similar depth, but is much wetter and brighter looking. Swissvax also maintains it's just waxed look and feel longer than Zymol. Souveran is by far the easiest to use of the three but also by far fades the most quickly IME. Zymol and Swissol also bead water much more tightly than Souveran. Water just runs away from Zymol or Swissvax. It's amazing to watch.

I say: find something you like and use it often!

Real nice pics of your Astra, great depth and gloss to the paint. I've never seen an Astra before but must admit it has some nice lines to it.

GM will offer the Astra in the US. Thanks for your comments.

for me it comes to durability souveran just doesnt last tho has a nice liquid shine it is not as bright or clear as z.

I am just a guy who tries everything so i will buy some just to try it, if I dont i sell and try something diff. I have done that with werkstatt, wolfgang, nattys and so on.

I have 4 tubs f souveran that should say something about how I feel about them :-)
