I don't see the big deal, detailing a car is much easier than removing soap scum from the shower and trying to get grape juice stain out of the carpet. :D Women spend all day picking up after the kids and the remote control hogging husbands...:p they are perfectly equipped with the tools to clean and make anything shine, why would a vehicle be any different?:confused:

Would you be willing to fly up to NJ and get my wife to subscribe to that train of thought? I'll buy you dinner anywhere you want if you're successful. :cheers:

Remote control hogging? After all it is my T.V. :D

Actually this is pretty funny. We have no less than 6 T.V.'s in my house and last night I had 3 teen agers, my wife and myself trying to sit on my bed and chairs in the my bedroom. You think anyone would flip to a channel I would watch?

Absolutely!!! I tell you what have the wife help you detail her car one time, let it get real nasty first and let her help you make it shine. She might like the bonding time, plus she might find how great detailing is for stress relief (so I have heard, I am stress free:p ) and next thing you know she might like it. Or there always is that sympathy card you can play..." Honey we dont spend enough time together or talking, how about you just come outside and hang with me while I detail YOUR car and we can talk. Plus I would love to have you help me if you think you have any pointers, since you do such a great job keeping the house so clean." Try it, if it doesnt work you are taking me out for Seafood when I get up there, warning I am not a cheap date!!!:D
Ohh yes too... tell her its a great way to get some sun, or women like to be tan, that is the only reason I dont have a lawn boy!

My Dad taught me to wax his cars (with Excalibur Paste Wax & an old T-Shirt :eek:), when I was a little kid. Since then I've always enjoyed making them look good & keeping them that way. But I only found the forums a little over two years ago, when I bought my CR-V. Since then, the costs have escalated, but so have the results I'm able to achieve! :)


Good suggestions, Meghan!! :applause: And besides, if she starts to enjoy detailing, she might not object to all the AG boxes arriving!! ;)

I tried that . All I got was "I cook the food , you clean the cars"
