I noticed the other day that there was something sticky on my passenger seat and was hoping for some advice on how to remove it. The stuff looks to be drying out and turning white at this point. My seats are black upholstery.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When I see something sticky it's usual something with sugar. I would hit it with steam. If you don't got a steamer, id try getting a rag wet, heat it in the micro wave nice and hot, then let it sit on the stickiness to soften it. Lightly scrub it then and blot with a towel

Follow our friends advice. I'd also try to use a vacuum after cleaning with some kind of APC, in an attempt to 'extract' the residue after cleansing.

For sure it'll not work so well like a real extractor, but sometimes we have to do the job with what we have at hand.

Keep us updated,

Kind Regards.

Has anyone tried WD40 as a cleaner for sticky stuff? I used it on some gum stuck in my car mats. It balled up and completely released from the fibers. After I used APC to get the WD40 out. I think it is fish oil in the WD40 that makes the gum turn super slippery thus loosening it's grip on the fibers. Just wondering if anyone has used it for detailing.
