Just a quick update on the beading of the Son1c Obsession and Chemical Guys 50/50.
First of all, in the attached pictures you can see the 50/50 ghosts the surface. The residue can be quickly wiped off with a detail spray and microfiber, but it comes back every time it is exposed to sunlight. As you can see, the Obsession buffed off once, and there is no ghosting.
Now I drove the car out to dinner (sorry for the bad lighting) and took some pictures. This was after about a week from initial application with only the wax as protection. The left side (CG 50/50) has good beads, however they are not as uniform as I would like them to be. The surface also does not sheet water very well, compared to Obsession.
Obsession on the other hand, has much more uniform beads and they are very tight. Beadiful, as Drew would say. There is also considerably less water on the right side of the hood because it sheets so well.
Overall due to Son1c Obsession being easier to remove, having tight and uniform beads, more sheeting of water, and zero ghosting, Obsession is the clear winner for this head to head. Hope you enjoyed!
