Son1c 's Home Brew Carnauba Wax - ProtoWax -> Picture Heavy

A few questions I hope Drew or someone who knows could answer.

- What happened to the machine application video? It says video not found.

- Is using a qd or waterless wash for removal going to affect durability or beading quality? The hand application video mentions removal without a qd to not affect beading for the test.

- What cure time is there after buffing off where it can be exposed to elements or layered without compromising the coating? Is layering going to help durability or looks at all with this product or is one layer all you need?

- Is this stuff going to protect plastic trim and can be used instead of plastic specific protectant? Black textured plastic and clear such as headlights and taillights are what I'm thinking of.

- I assume wheels are going to get to hot to last long with this product?

Thanks!
The owner requested that it was not online so I have to shoot a new machine application video.

A quality QD or similar product should do nothing but slightly boost the product. I don't use it in videos to eliminate any discrepancies viewers may have.

Carnaubavore and Merry Waxmas can be used wipe on wipe off but depending on your climate, temp humidity etc I recommend leaving 5-15 minutes (I usually leave 10 minutes or so)

Merry Waxmas was designed to be layered however each wax can be used standalone as well, I discuss this in this video

Carnaubavore can be layered as well but does not need to be by any means.

Do not apply these waxes to plastic as I did some early testing but they are not designed to protect plastic.

I have not tested Merry Waxmas on wheels however Carnaubavore works well on wheels, give it a try :D

Just got my Son1c wax and am anxious to try it. Nice packaging and the aroma is terrific. Is it better to apply by hand or machine?

Thank you for the support! I'm glad you are enjoying the package and aroma as well. Applied great by either, I personally apply most waxes by hand but here is a great writeup by autogeeks own -- bryan where he machine applied merry waxmas -- not sure whether you have Carnaubavore Wax or Merry Waxmas Waxes

I tried Carnubavore on my front clip, even around freezing, application went on pretty smoothly and looks are amazing! Great wax IMO!

This video showcases the Snow Foam that I am currently developing. I have been working on a car soap over the last several months, but have recently switched gears into turning it into the ultimate Snow Foam. ProtoFoam 1 was the first test of my first usable soap. I will strive to create an awesome product that I am in love with and performs excellent all while maintaining an LSP (Last Step Product) friendly relationship, or more importantly a wax friendly relationship! If I can meet these goals I will happily make my product available to all of my fellow detailers! Please let me know what you're looking for in the ultimate snow foaming car wash/soap/shampoo.

Great news! I am disspointed in the snow foam selection in the states. Pre-soaking with a foam cannon has worked its way into my routine, especially in the Winter. I would love a pre-wash foam that clings, breaks up road grime, and does the least amount of damage to my LSP, which is usually a wax of course.:dblthumb2:

What are some of your favorite snowfoams available here and even throughout the world?

That is my end goal! Would you rather have a snowfoam that can double as a car wash, or just a pre-soak?

Looks like you have another great wax in the works. I really like your waxes that you have for sale so far. Count me in for some
of the new wax when available. Keep them coming !:dblthumb2:

Well, I am looking for a soap that will work nicely in a foam gun (regular hose), that will double as a presoak/wash. It would be equally suitable as a presoak and for bucket use.

Thanks for the continued support John! I'm extremely excited about this one and I cannot wait to have this finalized and ready to go it is performing excellent in every test we throw at it and it is still able to be applied in direct sunlight !

Thanks for the input, that is my ideal goal but if I cannot knock both aspects out of the park I will have to split them into two different soaps -- will keep you and everyone posted on my future versions & testing

Would you say this is better than the A10? What are the differences? After watching both vids this seems to bead and sheet better than A10 to me. Last week I threw on a coat of both the merry waxmas waxes so should have some pics for you in a couple days. Just waiting on my new headlights to come in then pull the car outside and grab some pics. The paint looks insanely wet
