It is certainly not gonna hurt anything. At the very least, it will assure proper coverage.

I have noticed a hair better look on darker colors.....lighter colors are very hard to tell but may have a bit more gloss.

I'm not a big believer in layering and topping lol
but I'll definitely give it a shot with the hard soft dodo combo
