SON1C Synopsis 2 - Chemical Guys - Citrus Wash + Gloss

I need to try this again.
I first used it about a year ago when I didn't know anything about waxes or stripping.

How many caps are used to not strip wax ? Also how much do you put in a foam gun to safely remove dirt and not lsp ?

I don't know about foam gun, but one ounce to five gallons makes an ok maintenance shampoo.

-For a normal bucket wash put 1oz per 4-5 gallons of water. If car is dirtier than normal you can put 1.5oz per 4-5 gallons.

-Im not sure about foam gun (dont have one yet, maybe in a couple weeks) I believe i read on here that people use 1-2oz in the canister BUT I COULD BE WRONG

W/ Chemical Guys a capful = 1oz

-To strip your wax put 1oz per 1 gallon of water.

Hope this helps

Sounds great thank you !

The 16 oz CG cap I measured was around 7ml (about 1/4 oz) but given the viscosity of the soap it is not easy to get precise measurement.

After using this soap for the first wash, it's awesome. Lubricity w/ only 1 capful per 5 gallon bucket was great. Left a great, glossy finish and I didn't feel like I left anything behind like other soaps I've used in the past. Rinsed away without any residue and does smell good. I really like the vibrant color as well.

Favorite soap to date. I always know quality reviews come from Son1c, and I'm glad I didn't overlook this one.

I've got the citrus wash and clear daily. Same thing without the gloss enhancement. I really am torn between that and DG 901.

CG is definitely more concentrated thus more economical in gallon size and I can use it to strip wax at high concentrations.

I really enjoy all of your write ups. In fact one of your earlier write ups on the Wash and Clear convinced me to order some plus many other CG products. I just washed my denali with the Clear and you can really feel the clean. Next up is to claybar and polish out all the swirls with the new V-line products.

Thanks. Interesting infos.
thanks for viewing johny!
wow thanks for the review. i want to try this soap but im afraid ill end up stripping the glaze sealant and wax i just put on my truck. is there other washes that you would recommend?

A lil off topic...
whats the best way to keep my truck clean in between waxes?
you won't, I don't understand why people fear this just because this soap boasts that its capable , any soap can strip wax when used at improper dilution ratios
using the cap to 4-5 gallons you will not strip your wax :xyxthumbs:

1 cap

I used to put iirc 2 caps in the foam gun for decent foaming didnt know any lsp deterioration

Thanks :D I appreciate that, I strive to provide quality unbiased to the point reviews

like said this is my second favorite soap by far, with citrus wash and clear being my favorite simply because I'm almost always waxing after a wash anyway, however I'd have no fear waxing after using the gloss shampoo-- as I have before with no issues

tough to beat the bang for buck on these!

thanks cleetus!

yeah wash and clear is my favorite soap, incredible and versatile product, glad you're enjoying it as well
sounds good post up some pictures when done!
worked pretty extensively with v32 last week.. I love it.

and for the record 1 cg cap is roughly 1/4-1/3 oz iirc moreso on the 1/4 side and again its a rough tool as the viscosity is high so its hard to say exactly

bump for bogo, citrus wash and gloss / citrus wash and clear are my favorite soaps still, incredible bang for buck, I talk briefly about it on the first page of this review
highly recommended :xyxthumbs:

I always have this soap on hand but I really find it a little hard hard on your LSP. I really like like their synthetic body wash and gloss.. It foams up the same and leaves a great gloss but is not harsh at all.

Honeydew is great too, in a foam gun or cannon. It's not so great in a two bucket method.

chemical guys wash & gloss in the foam cannon last month finally loaded the video
