Sonax Nano Polish vs. Sonax Perfect Finish

I was told pf is more a paste,as opposed to more of a lotion consistancey
I use pf and really like it

The rating is slightly different.

Out of 6
PF has a cut/finish rating of
4/6

NP has a cut/finish rating of
3/6

I will have NP soon to test, would like to side by side it with PF. I think PF could be used as a nice "one step" where as NP would be more of a finishing polish.

Great question Mark!

For me they're too new so I'm subscribing to learn more....:props:

Perfect finish is frankly...an incredible polish when working on soft paints. If you have to deal with soft paints, especially black, this polish really stands out from the crowd.

You can easily get 85-90% correction on soft paints with one product. It's fast really in terms of cutting. Just change pads and it will finish down as good as any finishing polish out there including the classics like M205 and PO85rd.

Soon lots of people will be talking about this polish.

Thanks guys. I will be buying some. Non diminishing abrasives?

I just used nano polish yesterday with tangerine hydrogen pads.
It caked up like crazy!!!!!
Overall is a pretty good polish, but I didn't know about perfect finish until I saw thi thread, looks like I will need to get my hand on some perfect finish.....

I'm looking for like a AIO polish that gives high gloss and remove defects.

I use this Sonax with a grey pad and sometimes blue pad on soft black paint with great results:

It was asked if AG would carry this product back in Dec.

So, will Perfect Finish be available here at AG?

I asked Nick and at the time said no...but that can change. Perhaps Meghan can help answer that question

a sonax rep told me that the only difference is one has aluminum oxide for the abrasive, and the other has a synthetic abrasive. i cant for the life of me remember which.

doubt it, esoteric detail has an exclusive offer with sonax for perfect finish

Man esoteric detail overprice all their stuff, with steep shipping cost.....
I refuse to purchase from Todd

Keep in mind that Todd works primarily on really exotic cars with really finicky paint. The kind of cars most of us would be afraid to touch, let alone polish.

PF works great on those types of paint and it eliminates a step just by changing pads.

Frankly there is little difference between PF and the 3/6 sonax product sold here. They both are great on soft paint. In fact the old reliable sonax nano paint cleaner finishes down nicely on soft paint but most folks don't like the carnauba it has in it but the sonax products really work especially well on soft and black paint.

Had a chance to play with a sample of Sonax 3/6 and it's excellent; but since finding & using Menzerna SF4000 and PF2500 polishes, I'm now done experimenting with other products. Coupled with the FG-400 compound, I'm able to work on any type of paint and achieve fantastic results. And the Menzerna line is readily available here at AG and other sources as well. I would've tried Perfect Finish but with such limited distribution it would need to blow the Menzerna polishes out of the water and IME, that's not going to happen. YMMV

I understand, though as a hobbyist I want to try everything. I'm picking up the SF & PF Bundle, along with SIP. It would have been nice to be able to also grab SPF in one swoop.

I agree with fenderpicks; shipping came to $10.76 for a single 250 ml tube. A little steep. I know I'll end up with a sample. Just not right now.

I just got my 32oz bottle of Menz FG400
Les see how it compares to the Sonax NP
