I don't know were this threads going but I understand the argument that there isn't a point to "coat" a coating as it would indeed take on the new coatings characteristics.. does make sense.. but at the same time I believe that using the "topper" designated for each company's coating (EXO for C1, Net Sheild for NanoLock or Brilliant Detailer for Net Sheild, and Relaod for Cquartz) does indeed offer benefits in maintenance and protection of the initial coating, prolonging the coating.. I only say that because the "toppers" from what I've read generate the same characteristics as the initial coat if not enhance the coat, but will in time fade exposing the initial coating to the elements where is could be adversely affected.. In sort a coat of cquartz will not last as long as a coat of cquartz that is "topped" with a coat of reload from time to time... Now back to my original question.. maybe I should have worded it different but "topping" cquartz a carpro product with netsheild a sonax product, doesn't follow the above mentioned parings, so it may not be worth doing because they weren't designed to work with each other like the above pairings... maybe I answered my own question, I was just wondering if anyone else had tried a similar pairing(coating and topper) of different branded products... right now I have net shield on my truck as the primary coating and use brilliant detailer as the topper, and while net sheild by itself works great its not a true coating like cquatz.. just figured if I cquartzed my truck I could use net shield to top it because of how good it does by itself, but then again it would go back to the origional argument of taking on the properties of the "topper"
