Sonax on this kind of wheel

I have my grandfather's 4 runner while he is out of town and I am going to clean it up for him and I am wondering if the Sonax wheel cleaner will harm these wheels in any way. They are not clearcoated. Idk what they are. Thanks!

IIRC they are painted steel.

yes they are painted so dont use a powerwasher on them as can take the paint off.

If you do decide to use Sonax wheel cleaner, don't be overwhelmed with its surprisingly malodorous bouquet.

It should work fine, but when in doubt always test in a small unseen spot as possible.

I have used it before but not on this kind of wheel. So I will try it and see what happens.
