No my point is that use properly and you should have no issues. Working the product long enough and you should have great results. I have used it numerous times and I like perfect finish.

I think that some just forget how it was originally ins tented to be used. Just reminding some.

I heard some of the same info regarding the coating failing. I'll see about looking up the thread.

I know, I was being facetious. ;)

I have personally seen deeper defects return some time after polishing with SPF, defects which appeared to be removed at the time, even after IPA/Eraser wipe downs. I've also had numerous issues when applying Opti-Coat Pro on cars where I used SPF to finish down with (clouding/streaking/smearing). This was after either wiping down with IPA, Eraser, both, or in conjunction with washing the vehicle after polishing. Many of the nations top detailers have experienced similar issues as well, though few have posted publicly.

I won't ague that the polish produces amazing results, but unless I don't care about potential filling on the car I'm working on, I personally will no longer use it as I don't trust that the results I'm seeing are true and I don't want a client calling me up a month or two down the road with issues.

Just my $.02, you can take it or ignore it...

Now what was your application method when you had seen the defects come back?

I've always used it with various DA's, as suggested by the initial retailer for the product, but I have tested it with the rotary on my test pans as well. The defects returned on a vehicle where I used a DA. I have a very boring 6 minute video I made 14 months ago using the DA and "trying" to show the filling abilities....I can PM it to you if you like, but application is pretty much like any other polish.

FWIW, saying it filled because of improper application is basically an admission that it fills when you really think about...

I get what you mean about the application as far as fill just more confusing than anything. If there is indeed filling and durable at that what is causing these filler to remain even after numerous wipe downs with IPA or eraser. What is the chemical or substance that can withstand IPA?

Not sure, I'm no chemist, but maybe one can chime in. :)
 
I've been using this product for a while and haven't noticed any filling or masking defects.

As we speek, I'm working on a Range Rover, using RUPES polisher and pads with SONAX PF. Did a test spot and after polishing the area, I buffed it with IPA, then with bodyshop degreaser (used by painters to remove any oils and grease before painting) and then another shot of IPA.

This procedure completely cleaned the area. The polished area was free of defects. I'll try to upload some pictures today.
 
Rear fender polished with PF + RUPES Yellow pad followed by IPA'd + Degreaser + IPA again.
