Sonax PNS - multiple coats?

Yes, but that is no longer available. Check out McKees N-914. It is a great rinseless wash without anything else added into it.

Figures. The McKees I can get but its like $66/gallon :/

Been raining a lot here since, and I at least have the best beading car on the block, lol :D

Sun was out for a few hours today and it dried the car all up, and I think the PNS at least made it seem 'cleaner' vs the UPW, though the car still looked dirty close up (3ft or less)...

I found something weird with the PNS. I washed the car the other day and it was about 5*C (41*F) and I found the water beaded very well still, but this PNS won't let it go/sheet off the car! I wiped my usual drying towel over it and its never been that wet in its life, even after doing the whole car! This is the first time ever I've had to use both drying clothes I have, and it took days for them to air dry :/

Hmmm that’s weird. I’d expect with the nice beading it has the would roll off pretty easy.

I found even when warm out this PNS didn't let the water go as easily as any wax I've put on before. I bought a blower in hopes to make it faster but it doesn't blow off barely, it just beads better...

I think there was something funky as you mentioned in the application. I still blame ONR. I have never had PNS hold onto water, just the opposite in fact.

I've been so frustrated with this weather past few months. Not been able to get more then 3 days without a rain, or this past week snow and ice... not usually this wet here :(

I've ONR'd it a few times but not much else. Still seems to bead well, just not sheet the water off with air or anything which is weird. ONR seems to make quick work of keeping it clean at least, but I may put a coat of actual wax on it...

I’m with RPPM - ONR is a suspect in this for me. I quit using ONR for Rinseless washes when I noticed road film bonding to the paint more easily than when I was using other washes.

Do you have anything else you can use instead?

I don't have anything else to use :( Still have 3/4 gallon of ONR too lol...

You and me both, my friend.

Works great for cleaning underhood plastics and such; I've also been using it for years for all our hard floors in the house (linoleum, hardwood, laminate, tile). A 6 year old and 2 Great Dane mixes and nobody's wiped out from slippery floors. The same can not be said for the time I used Wolfgang Uber Rinseless on the black fridge to bump up the gloss and got some overspray on the floor...

Thinking some more on this, I had tried ONR about 6 or 7 years ago. It seemed to interfere with pretty much every LSP I had used with it, Collinites (all 3 of them), Duragloss 111 & 105, PNS, FK 1000P, and Megs Ultimate Past and Liquid. It seemed to effect the DG and FK products the least. Anything that had strong hydrophobics when fresh seemed to be impacted by the ONR in a negative way. I know in years past people that used Collinite 845 or even 476 and ONR felt ONR made a mess when used in conjunction with those two LSP's.

ONR does leave some residual polymers behind, so this wouldn't surprise me. Their Car Wash does too, but not at the level ONR does.

Love ONR for interiors.

I have a can of PNS shield dedicated to my calipers & wheels. This product seems to do REALLY well on a moderately heated surface - and I always do two coats. Wheel waxes can be so difficult to deal with so I'm always testing different sealants to assist in the agitation of brake dust. This helps save time & cash with wheel cleaning products. Anything Sonax is good in my book.

Bead Maker for me. Think I slid 5 feet before catching myself.

I always believe in the 2 coats for full coverage. Aging eye sight is part of it. :xyxthumbs:
