Sonax Polymer Net Shield

I'm sorry if this was touched... It what's the average life span of this? Should I use Prep-sol prior to use PNS to clean the paint as good as possible?

Prep-sol, IPA, CarPro Eraser, Gtech Panel Wipe would all be fine prior to Sonax PNS. Durability is said to be ~6 months and I have confirmed that, but with anything its with how you take care of it and how the car is used/stored. Garage queens could see a year out of the stuff. Daily drivers that are stored outside 24/7 might only get 4 months.

For me personally, I saw some degradation on the lower rocker panels and fenders after about a month, at that point I would just top up with Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer on those areas and I was good for another month. The whole car beaded like day 1 (except those areas where dirt is directly kicked up by the tires) from Mid December all the way through May.

1 month, yikes. do you think it was contaminants sticking to the vehicle making beading suffer or just actual product worn off already?

I'm impressed by the durability. I have one daily driver that still beads and sheets like new after three months of outdoor exposure in a city environment. It looks like it could easily last another three months. What really surprises me is that it's still beading on a roof panel where the clear coat is breaking down. The surface underneath is very rough and badly in need of a respray.

Does anyone have a favorite shampoo for this product? I'm wondering if the washes that are designed for coatings will benefit SPNS in any way. I'm always up for trying something new.

Optimum Car Shampoo seems to work very well with it. Anything without wax/extra stuff in it should work I guess.

i would recommend
-Meguiars Gold Class
-Duragloss 901/902
-Chemical guy MrPink

Thinkin on offering this next to Menz powerlock, I always apply powerlock to non corrected cars, it does give a wax effect, where it does cover up some of the fine swirls and gives a deeper look, Im guessing the SPNS does not have cover effects? Just curious, still gonna try it out.

I just applied to my uncorrected used camry the weekend before last and I noticed the dealer buffer trails pretty much disappeared. So I'd say it def has some filling properties.

That's good to know :)

So does PNS work well with rinseless washes?? That's all I use anymore, and I sure don't want to go to back to the hose!

I really love rinseless washes with carnuaba, and I'm currently using Pinnacle or Surf City. I bought PNS a few weeks ago,but I haven't tried it yet. I do plan to purchase the Brilliant Shine detailer to go along with the PNS though.

I have no issues with 2BM, rinseless or waterless with PNS.

Good deal! Pulled the trigger on the Brilliant Shine so I will be trying the Sonax combo very soon!

I love the videos I've seen of these two products beading!
