use this wheel cleaner for the 1st time this weekend. my dp wheel cleaner was empty so i used this new product.

smell is not very plesant but it's not that bad. base color is yellow/green and it's fun how it turns to red when its working:P sprayed all four wheels (they were off the car) and let sit for a couple of minutes. after that the wheels were dripping red and i use the daytona brush on a small section. it remove everything fine and sprayed it after and to my pleasure, i sprayed a place i didnt brushed yet and all the dirt went away! no scrubbing at all! only rinsed the other 3 and they all came out great.

a very good product, pretty powerfull but still gentle for hands and wheels.

I have posted before that I presume the reason the Sonax doesn't turn red/work very well for me is that I have ceramic pads...as do most cars today, I think.

Don't you have to be careful of what you use with ceramic pads/brakes? Or is it just the ceramic rotors that you have to be careful of? I really like Sonax. I am about to buy a gallon or two of it. What I have found to work better on tires though, is the DP Cleanse-All. The DP works pretty good on wheels too, but man, as soon as it touches tires they start dripping brown. I will usually spray the rim first then hit the tire up after a minute, for the DP will dry before the Sonax. I have actually let Sonax dry on a wheel ( not completely intentional), and with just minimal scrubbing it cames right off, and the wheel was clean. Good review!

Kinda reminds me of a beauty shop's: "somebody just got a perm or straightening odor"...hmmm...the wife may have just found a new hair care product. :)

Note: The msds for Sonax wheel cleaner reveals the reason for the 'smell is not very pleasant'
