I've been playing around with different engine detailers lately. I used CD2 on the Mazda, Sonus on the Honda. I initially tested the Sonus on the Mazda 3 engine cover and wasn't to happy with it. I was having an issue applying it. I ended up using CD2 on that engine, but gave the Sonus another shot on the Honda.

Sonus Motorkote is not for everyone, as many have said. It's tricky to apply, but from pure protection and durability standpoint, I think it may be the best.

Car has 162,000 miles on it.

Nice job! Is the alternator a little brown because you cover it when you detail the engine?

What brushes and things are you using to get into all the nooks and crannies?

That's a good question, I don't know. The belt has been brown for awhile. I really needs to be replaced soon. I did cover it, but I'm not sure why it looks so brown in these photos.

I used a paintbrush and for the bulk of it just a regular brush I picked up at AZ.

I wonder how this would work on engines?

Sonus Tire & Bumper Dressing Gel is an excellent choice under the hood to protect and dress all rubber and plastic.

Update. One month later it still looks great. This stuff is awesome. I'll try and post some pics tomorrow. Attracts little dust/dirt. Just had a few days of rain too.
