Let me give a little bit of explaination before I say what I'm about to say. When I first started posting on AG, I was a die hard RL fan. Well over time, seeing what other people were doing with AG offerings I slowly began buying product... and like most other people, I got sucked into it!!! Before I knew it I was and still am buying literally Hundered of $$$ worth of product.

Now I said all that to say this... this morning I tried out Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss.... and all I have to say is WOW!!!!:righton:
I have tried almost every soap AG offers and they don't stand a foot against this stuff. I use a foam cannon, and bearly had to put in enough to cover the bottom of the bottle and this stuff foams, clings and cleans like crazy. In fact from one bottle... I covered a Tahoe and a BMW 750. Neither of these are small in their respective categories.

So what I am trying to get at is... AG needs to either make a soap like this, or start carrying come Chemical Guys stuff. No one company is going to have the best of everything, but every company is going to have the best of somethings. I'm sure this thread won't last long. But I had to get it out there.

Why talk about a product on Autogeeks forum, in their "home", that you know they don`t want you to talk about. Yes, its a good soap, and I like it to. But I don`t make a thread on theirs forum, that we can use for free, and they give us nice giveaways and tips etc. AG carry many really good soaps, like Optimum, pinnacle, dp and poorboys +++. I know you liked the soap, but its not right to bash AGs soaps, and say they should carry this. If AG wants to carry Chemical guys, they will do it, if not, they don`t. Its still their case, not ours.

And I also like ##, but I don`t talk about in AGs "home"

Just my two cents.

I was interested in that wash but seems it can easily strip lsp, its pretty potent if not mixed correctly. What were your thoughts?

I like ## as well but I'll stick with Duragloss or DP Extreme for soap.

before you throw gernades at me from over seas... AG offerings have their place. I think of them as botique washes. You use if you wash you vehicle weekly, or more. I'm talking about something to use on cars thta don't get washed that often. You need something to first break down the grime and grit and lift if off the vehicle to it doesn't go back and forth across the paint... and that's what Citrus wash does.

Just remember AG has already publicly announced it will not be carrying this line. Think of it as you may ......

As for the product, well lets just say if your using Carnauba as LSP it doesnt stand a chance against this wash. Its gone ... and yes I have a bottle. Still find Duragloss and Poorboys better offerings overall.

yeah, I've yet to try it due to how harsh it is on lsp...

if u read the bottle, it's concentrated... so a little goes a long way. And because of the citrus it does break down lsp's... however at the end of the name it does have "gloss" as well. There are citrus extracts provide the gloss. After you wash, just throw on some AW or your favorite spray wax and ur back in business

sorry I missed that announcement... and I have dg 901, and used PB SS&S, SS&W, and they just didn't have the cutting power this one did

If you want a sample, let me know offline with address and I toss you some. It is a very strong cleaner IMO ...
i thought i would like to try it Scott..with the colder temps it might end up sitting...

Thanks..I really appreciate the offer....

that's excatly what i'm talking about.... if you had to detail a car that hadn't been washed in a month or so... would u use citrus wash, or would u use PB SS&S?

Whenever someone says something negative about ## wash, its always that its too strong. Well guess what guys, some polishes are stronger then others, some wheel cleaners are stronger then others, some degreasers are stronger then others, etc., and they ALL have their place. If you work on other peoples cars, then ## wash is an EXCELLENT wash to strip LSP's.

I bet you guys that keep up your own cars dont polish it with Menz. PG because its really strong. Does that mean you should bash it? No, its got its place.

You've gotta take into consideration what the user is actually using it for. Im sure Dust 2 Glory isnt going to use it for weekly washes. Instead, he probably uses it to give the car an intense cleaning and then rewaxes or reseals the car.

guess that depends on what is under it, and what I am planning to do. Again, its a very strong product and as offered much to strong for a normal twice a week wash IMO. It would however be a choice in detailing and especially dirty unkept autos. I think in that setting it should be a Citrus Wash only, and the gloss factor is unneeded.

Total Wash will also remove a LSP Carnauba Wax. I would consider it slightly weaker, but that said you obviously could water down either as needed.

:iagree: You made a good point there.

i got lots of this stuff..if anyone wants to try it out for themselves ill hook em up too..by the way, i love it!!

i had also mentioned to paul from ## that i wanted a rim cleaner, but not as strong as the hot wheels or whatever meguiers has in that purple bottle.....but as effective...he said to pop this stuff in a bottle with some water and u got urself a wheel cleaner that doesnt dry out the wheel or leave any chemical stains

## has some good stuff

AG shampoo + DP Exterior cleanser> that. although for $20, it does seem like it is a good deal

Well put. I have a bottle of this soap and I really like it's cleaning power. However, I don't need that kind of thing often. Plus the C-G soap doesn't have anywhere near the lubricity that Optimum does IMO/IME. So, Optimum Car Wash is still my "go to" soap. At least for my car which is well cared for. However, it's nice to have the Citrus soap on hand when I have to take care of a neglected car.
