South FL water restriction tighter...

What if you just have a spot to wash your car where no on can see it? I mean, is it so strict that you can only use a certain amount of water per day?

So what would happen if you did wash your car anyways even though there are water restrictions?

LMAO! I can see it now, pre-printed photochopped address stickies.....then you on the 5pm news comment "I just wanted to get some more uber shine outta my ride....it was lookin dull btw if you need any info on detailing goto dub dub dub, autgeekonline"

Anyhoo....
The weather calls for lots of rain this week.... Might ease them up a little.....

WOW can't believe you guys get water restrictions. Couldn't you just go to one of those car wash places where you can wash yourself.

not only would it get pricy for the amount of time we spend on the washing stage, but there really arnt any on the east coast. the west coast is more popular for these DIY washes.

They just changed our restrictions. I can only wash my cars without risk of getting a ticket on Wednesday and Saturday between 5-8 pm. It really sucks. In another month we will have more rain then they no what to do with. The fact is they don't do anything to try and save some of it. I can always wash my cars in the garage and shut the door.

Surfer, don't forget you can only flush your tolet every other day.
:D

Tempting, but knowing my luck I'd end up with a ticket, friend of mine got a fine last week lol. Don't get along with most of our neighbors...guess they don't have as many friends as we do, and loud diesel trucks and sports cars annoy them :D.

Bamboo - that's what I thought, but in the news today they said you could only wash cars between 4-7 am on your day and not on 4-7 pm anymore? Hmmm have to call them and see what the right answer is.

Sounds like they are just jelous.:D

I signed up to these forums about the same time the water restrictions started. It really sucks because I spent like $190 on a pc and some other stuff but between work and school its hard wash a car in a 2hour time frame on only a certain day.

I get off work at like 6:30 on sundays so I run home and start washing before I even get a chance to eat.

try the rinseless products , not bad. Also consider washing a quarter car washes at night. I bucket washed there for a year under last restriction in the early 90's.

I know you've used a bunch, what do you feel is the best all around? Looks like a tie between DP and Optimum? I just have this nervousness about it, like what is the point where it is too dirty to use a rinseless wash?

And what about the tires etc? Or do you just quickly get the hose out and wash them before Po-Po come:D?

Optimums product is probably a squeak better but smells like dung and makes me want to vomit. While I have tried them, I still prefer traditional washing. So when nobody's looking I pull on the neighbors lawn and use their hose. Just tell the po-po to leave the ticket on the door.

So you guys are washing in the grass? Seen some neighbors do that, can't with the trucks as the weight and a/t tires will leave deep tracks in our lawn. Car isn't so bad.

haha i would SO do that. lol. :awesome:

there was a water restriction on my area a week ago, (california)
the instruction said that, DO NOT HAND WASH CAR, USE YOUR LOCAL CARWASH INSTEAD.

i kinda ignored it, hahahah and went ahead and washed the car, my next door neighbor was giving me the eyes, hhahah, i didn't really care.
