Soveran vs. MaxWax

Well when I had tried the 2 waxes it was unusally hot around here, so that may have been why. I guess I'll find out next time I apply them.

common a few days...im from socal also and it does get hot...i work on cars in nevada ferquently using a supposedly inferior wax in Adams polishes (compared to souveran) and ive never had any complaints or visual differences in 2 days...1 week..1 month even...and your saying that souveran is suppose to be worse than that...well i know its expensive, but it is expensive for a reason

The car was probably too hot when the souveran was applied, but the souveran lost it's depth after about 3-5 days and had no slickness at all. It was probably user error more then anything. Next time I detail a black car I'll give it another shot and see what happens.

I made my comparison to my buddies tsx that I detailed 2 weeks earlier, and it stayed in his garage while he was on vacation. After about 3 days the TL(parked outside) didn't "glow" like the tsx(parked indoors) did.

Again Souveran is a show wax and not designed with durability as main or only factor. (thats why it looks so much better than Collonite) But that said it was designed in kit form to help end user keep the "pop" alive also. All kits use to come with Crystal Mist which was a lighter booster than Liquid Souveran Spray. I highly suggest any car staying outside use the combo as it will last longer, protect better, and payoff in more compliments.
