Sovergn - 04 Cosmo GTO

Looking good man! I have never seen a purple GTO. Is that a OEM color? BTW, welcome to the forums man!

The color is called Cosmo, it's 'limited' to GM's GTO and 'future' Corvettes. Pontiac only made 762 GTO's in Cosmo, ( 430 T-56 manuals :) ). The dealer told me that the color is 'registered' with Dupont and only the 04 GTO or an 06 Corvette owner can order it. Sounds BS to me, but it's a good sales line I guess.
 
color was never released on the C6 Vette (05-current). It was a one year color on the GTO , it looks very nice in person. I believe they changed the color to the silver/blue-green for 05-06.
 
You are correct, I guess I meant that Dupont has it registered for use only on GTO and late model corvette's.

It is factory paint, so there is some orange peel. But the Pinnacle products hide it very well.

The interior is also purple. Purple leather seats, Purple Gauges and a lite pinkish purple suede accent. I gotta figure out how to clean the suede without changing it's color.

Beautiful car, Man!

Check out Leather Master - Nubuck Leather Cleaner and Protectant. Works wonders on the suede seats in my Cobra. Totally takes away the worry obout how to clean and protect suede (though I must admit, I have custom seat covers that I use when not showing the car!).
 
I was considering Pinnacle's Cleaner and thier Conditioner, but I'll check out Nu buck.

I've used Zaino's cleaner and conditioner this morning, I'll post some pics after I'm done cleaning the interior.

A: There was no extra cost for the paint, just had to be dilligent with locating one.

Get pics of the gauges, if possible especially at night. For some reason I'm picturing the purple lighting looking pretty sweet:cheers:
 
GTO's came with body colored backgrounds to match the finish or interior the first couple of years. I believe they are all grey currently. Heres the one:

That looks pretty sick. GTO is a nice car, I like it. Almost a 4 door vette.

oh, thought he meant the back-lighting was purple. Like my truck has green lighting, our Lexus has that 3D flourescent look etc. Purple would have been pretty cool looking IMO.

That is what I thought too, and I also think that would be cool. The purple faces aren't that bad though. Is it white lighting or do ya know??
