hey everyone! im planning to buy a DA, what specs should i look for? is any one here a shine mate user?

Where are you from, then we can better point you in the right direction

You could always do what the vast majority of people have done for well over a decade. Get a Porter Cable DA, commonly called the PC. It's the cheapest and has proven to be very reliable. After you learn how to improve your paint THEN you can determine if you want to spend HUNDREDS on a Flex, Rupes, or Griots. Or you can be the oddball in the house and get the old workhorse. The dual head CYCLO. I love these things. My hands tend to get numb after a few hours of any of the single head polishers, but they don't with the dual head CYCLO.

Philippines uses 220v so personally i wouldnt go for porter cable or griot garage due to hassle of changing voltage. You can consider Das pro or tons of similar but re-badge model. Shine mate has a wide range of model- ERO600, EX603, EX605, EX610 (15 &21mm). ERO600 is more PC alike but with a much slicker body
(a feature i like alot) and certainly more powerful. Shine Mate EX series is pretty obvious that they are trying to clone the Rupes range. EX603 is build like a rupes mini while the EX605 is like the duetto but with less torque. Ex610 (15&21mm throw) however is on par or feels to me more powerful than the Rupes bigfoot MK1. Rupes MK2 however is in a different league altogether- way more consistent rotation from low to high speed.

what model of shine mate are you using?

I am using Shine Mate ERO600 Dual Action Polisher.
I agree with above it is as powerful as porter Cable.

Its not as quick as a flex or big throw polishers, but it gets the job done eventually.

@njain2686 - Based on your research, why did you choose ERO600 over the EX series?
@mangahaspaulo - any review on EX series? how much did you bought?

planning to buy a DA by the end of the month... choosing between ERO600 and the EX series of Shine-mate (most affordable in Philippines)
