I just got my new Flex and was wondering how the speed settings compare with the PC?
Thanks :buffing:

Most directions on here that I've seen are for the PC. Can you suggest or recommend speed settings for different procedures on the Flex?
Ex: Polishing, waxing, burnishing, sealing, etc.
What is the advantage or the faster speeds compared to the slower speeds?
I'm still learning but I have been using a speed of 3 to spread the polish and then bump it up to 6 to work it in.
When applying a sealant I slow it down a bit to about 3 - 4.
Could I be getting better results using other speeds?
Thanks!
You're good on the polishing and spreading speeds. I would use slower speeds for applying sealant. Right now I hand apply sealant.
Obviously it also depends on pad choice but am I correct to assume that the faster speeds are more for cutting/correcting and the slower speeds are for "massaging" the paint? By massaging the paint I mean like applying something that you want to keep/leave behind on the car like wax, sealant, ect.
I do hand apply wax but with the sealant I have been using the Flex just to give me more time to use it![]()
I think you'll be OK to follow the same numbers suggested for the PC, on your Flex. If your not comfy with it yet step it down one notch till you get the hang of it.
