This is a repeat client, repeat car. I corrected and applied Opti Coat to this vehicle roughly a year ago. Since then it has undergone quite the transformation into it's current 500whp beast form.

The car was at APR's facility (Audi/VW tuner) for approximately 5 months, while being used as the test mule for their soon to be released Stage 3+ kit. The motor was torn down, rebuilt with all forged internals, APR's new CNC ported/polished head, turbo, clutch upgrade....basically the works.

Upon getting the car back the client had also purchased a set of satin black forged HRE wheels, and wanted me to Opti Coat them as well as prep for Waterfest in PA. (large VW/Audi show where the car was being shown/sponsored by APR and New German Performance out of Lorton, VA.)

At any rate the car needed cleaned up, and prepped so here are a few shots of the car before it left for the show!

Products used:

  • ZEP Citrus Degreaser
  • Wolfgang Auto Bathe
  • Clay Magic Blue
  • DoDo Juice Born Slippery clay lube
  • Sonax glass cleaner
  • 1Z Cockpit Premium
  • 1Z Plastic Deep Clean
  • Wolfgang Leather Care cleaner
  • Wolfgang Leather Care conditioner
  • Opti Coat Professional
  • Opti Glass Professional
  • Adam's Super VRT tire dressing

Nice work!

I was wondering how the Smurf got so shiny in the latest pics he posted haha. I also own an R and post on the same forum (VWVortex) he does, was bummed I missed waterfest to see it in person. That car is an ANIMAL now that's for sure.

Looking good! Love that color, and the CF trim really works well with the blue!
