This is the other Cayman S Black Edition that was in the shop with the first one a week or so ago. These cars are pretty rare, with only 500 being produced. That being said, having two in the shop at the same time was a treat! This car actually belongs to a good client/friend of mine, and he's owned it for about a year and a half. I prepped the car when he first bought it, and we applied paint protection film to the whole front end, doors, and lower rocker areas. After a year and a half, the soft black Porsche clear had taken a beating from machine washes. Also, a fender bender required a rear bumper repaint so a trip to the body shop was made. While the car was in said body shop, they went ahead and "BUFFED" the quarters for him free of charge.......BAD IDEA. The damage they inflicted on this poor car was some of the worst I've ever seen. Needless to say, i had my work cut out for me!

The paint protection film received a one step polish, and the roof, quarters, rear hatch cover, and bumper received a full correction. Also, there were a few dents that were pulled as well.

Products used:

  • Menzerna SF4500 on LC CCS Grey pad via Rupes LHR21ES

Thanks for looking!

Woah, that turned out beautiful! Great work :xyxthumbs:

Some people shouldn't own black cars... and others shouldn't be allowed to work on them!

Beautiful job! Hopefully the car manages to stay in nice shape for a while

excellent work brian! Was a pleasure meeting you the other day, keep it up!

L>O>V>E!!! the first and first after shots the most. Seeing the very first one with all the swirls, I knew the rest would be very enjoyable. Excellent work as always.

PS: I will assume, that you like 101? Was this the first time for you?

Thanks guys!

Drew, likewise was great meeting you as well!

Thomas, I'm liking the 101 a lot! This is the 4th or 5th car I've used it on. Much grittier than 105 you were right on.

Wow! What a transformation! Goes to show, you get what you pay for, any body shop willing to do a free buff job isn't worth it! Hard to believe it was that bad, I literally wouldn't be able to take it if my VW got that bad, let alone a Porsche, lol. Great work, your half and half, b4/after taped shots are amazing!
