This is how you protect a vehicle correctly right from the get go! Customer of mine picked up this gorgeous new X3 and brought it straight to the shop. We performed a one step machine correction, and sealed in the finish with Opti Coat Pro paint coating. The wheels were also dismounted, thoroughly cleaned, and 2 thick coats of Opti Coat Pro were laid down on the faces and barrels. All glass surfaces received Opti Glass Pro, and paint protection film was applied to the front bumper, headlights, mirrors, full hood, and full fenders to protect the paint from rock chips!

Products UsedL

  • Sonax Full Effect wheel cleaner
  • ZEP Citrus Degreaser
  • Sonax Profiline 3/6 on LC CCS White pad via Rupes LHR21ES
  • Opti Coat Professional
  • Opti Glass Professional
  • Optimum metal polish
  • Adam's Super VRT tire dressing

Unfortunately I left my DSLR out of town while on Christmas holiday, so these iphone photos will have to do this time.

That's insane! What a shine! I have a lot to learn still. I may want to try out the Opti-coat sometime. A little overwhelmed with coating options right now. So many too choose from and they are expensive. Too expensive right now to experiment with. Maybe one day.

Beautiful work, indeed.

Yea buddy! That's how you do it!

There is a blue 5 series in the background of the second to last picture that could use your love Brian.....

Mike,

That car actually belongs to the owners! They drove off in the X3 and left me the 5'er!

It's getting a full correction, full front end clear bra, custom Escort 9500 radar/laser system and last but not least will be treated to the brand new Modesta coatings on the body and wheels. Really excited about this one.

Also interested in your thoughts on the Modesta coating.

BTW, don't forget the Nikon....

Speed, I dont know the laws in your state, but in mine, the radar systems are illegal and are not allowed in vehicles. BE careful when installing them

They are out of state residents where they are legal, so no worries there. :xyxthumbs:

I have a radar detector and wouldn't drive anywhere without it.

Sent from my Stealth Lookin iPhone using Tapaturd

I know others might, however in most states they are considered illegal. Even having them in the car is bad

also want to know how the modesta coating goes? which one are you doing? let me know! (also pics look niice)

@SonofOC - are you asking what did I buff off the polish residue with?
