Speedy Prep Towel Issue

Man you guys are making me glad I didn't buy one. ;) OTOH, my first Nanoskin product was the fine pad for the buffer. Used that over the summer and fell in love with it.

Next was the twin, red/blue hand pads. I love that I can store them in the container they came in, they have both rounded and flat/square sides, and they work on every freaking thing!

While working on a Mazda Thursday I gave my wife a piece of clay, and a Nanoskin sponge (hand sized) told her if one got dropped to throw it away, the other she could rinse good (after I checked it out) and keep going. Within MINUTES the clay got dropped!

Don't think I could EVER go back to clay for all the stuff we used to use it for. :)

Alright, I'll just use it on my windshield a couple times before using it on the paint, not like I'll need to use it on the paint anytime soon, the DPPC is doing its thing this time of year but the windshield will be getting a good cleaning now!

AS they say you can`t have enough lubrication..

My Nanoskin towel also fell apart after using soapy water. The rubber turned to mush and would stick to the paint.

I now use the fine Nanoskin autoscrubber with no issues. The medium autoscrubber has left some serious marring on certain paint. A red Honda I used it on, (my own) looked like it had been sanded with 3000 grit paper after use. I haven't had issues like that since, so maybe 10 minutes wasn't enough time to break in the medium.

New question for the group:

"How many times should I use it on the windows till its broken in"Feed back please

Try using Nanoskin's Glide for lubrication, some have found it safer and effective when using the rubber prepolymers.

I just used it once on all of the exterior glass on my car before touching it to the paint. I scrubbed a lot harder than I ever would normally just to make sure it was broken in.

I have the mitt and I use 1oz Opt soap and 1oz ONR in two gallons of water and it works great. Maybe put some ONR with your soap and see if if helps the towel from sticking to itself.

Thanks Killa! Sounds like using it over the winter to clean my windows after doing a rinseless wash should be more than enough to break it in for use during spring clean-up/refreshening of DPPC.

Yesterday I used my towel and used duragloss rinseless in quick detailer ratio as clay lube and it worked awesome. IMO better than ONR at quick detailer ratio. The lubrication felt much better.

Yeah the addition of AW into DG rinseless helps out there for sure!

I have used mine 3-4 times over the last 3 years. I use Optimum Detailer as lube and no issues. I have it folded into 8 surfaces. I usually don't rinse before storing. I use the plastic "box" it came in winter and summer. Still working like day I got it.
