Speedy Surface Prep Towel: So much easier than clay!

Do it! You'll clay your car faster than you ever believed possible!

I actually just store it with the clay facing up totally open. I just lay it flat so that nothing is sticking to any other part. I can see how it would stick to itself though...

As far as dust getting onto the towel while in storage, I try to rinse or wash the towel before I use it on the paint.

I'm just worried putting it in the garage like that. My dad likes to have the garage door open all the time and crap always manages to fly in there.

Do you have something like this Sterilite 3-Drawer Wide Cart - Walmart.com

It should fit in there. If not, it's a real helpful thing to have when categorizing and storing your products and tools. I have 3 of those and 1 of a smaller and thinking about adding another. I just stack them on top of each other.

Nice video Roshan!

Anyone tried the Nano Auto scrubber (the pad you attach to a DA)

how does the autoscrubber compare to the speedy prep towel?

Send me one, and I'd happily do a comparison video :p ;)

Thanks for the compliment :xyxthumbs:

I have that exact drawer actually, but my mf towels are in it. Maybe I could lay it on top of them. The thing I noticed when stacking those is that the bottom drawer starts flexing from the weight on top of it.

I wish I would've known about UWW before I bought ONR. It dilutes to about twice as much as ONR. How's the smell on the UWW?

Actually you're still winning if you have ONR. UWW+ costs 20 dollars and ONR costs 16.

ONR will make 16 gallons of clay lube, while UWW+ will make slightly less (approximately ~14 off the top of my head).

Yes, the UWW+ is more concentrated (thus bigger dilution), but ONR comes with 16 more ounces and is cheaper.

To answer your question, UWW+ smells pleasant, but nothing to rave about. :xyxthumbs:

However, once it comes to spray detailer, UWW+ is the much better value!

I would do that (just lay on top of mfs).

And yeah that tends to happen, but mine hasn't gotten to the point that it's difficult to open or anything, just sometimes a little annoying. Maybe yours is a lot more full of stuff than mine?

Well I usually use ONR at spray detailer for clay lube, I feel like it has better lubricity. Maybe I'll just stick with ONR. But I won't run out for a while.

If that's the case, I would switch to UWW+ when you run out.

UWW+, like ONR, has a myriad of uses.

I actually just did a review of UWW+ vs Blackfire Interior Cleaner on coated leather. The results might shock you :props: It'll be up as soon as Youtube finishes uploading ~40 minutes left lol!

Just used mine today. I like the ease of use. Way faster than clay, even faster than Ultima Elastrosponge. I like that I can "hear" the smoothness. I rinsed after each panel after multiple flips. Is this correct, or do you just rinse if you drop? Seemed like a smart thing to do. Also breaking in on glass was fine seeing as the glass needed to be decon'ed too...

I'm glad you liked it, I was ecstatic when I first tried it. It is an absolutely wonderful product :)

You should absolutely rinse after a panel :xyxthumbs: Remember, if it is picking up decontamination on the panel, then it is on the towel, and you can slide the decontamination back across the paint if you don't get rid of it. I would say what you did was very smart indeed :props:

It says that no where in the instructions. It just seemed logical, instead of kneading clay, rinsing the prep towel out instead. I rinsed with warm water with some Optimum car wash soap in a bucket and wrung it out. Realize after it says in the directions to use plain water. Am I affecting the longevity of the towel by using a little soap?

I can not speak 100% definitively on this, but I can give you my opinion.

I think car wash soap would be fine as lots of people actually use that as clay lube. I think the manufacturer must of known that would happen and planned for it.

However, it specifically says not to use detergent like dawn soap. If it specifically says not to use it, I would steer clear of that.

As for the directions, you're right I don't see that in the instructions. But I think the best thing to do is wash after every panel. Better safe than sorry for sure!
