Finally spent a considerable amount of time on my new truck with a full spring cleaning. Wash, clay, light polishing where needed, glazed, sealed, and waxed.

Given that It took me about a week to do, my question is what steps should I do next time I want to wax in terms of monthly wax maintenance.

I'm concerned about putting wax on if there are microparticulates that clay removes so do I need to reclay? It's a black truck so I don't want to instill swirls by waxing in particles into the paint.

Thank you

You need a Nanoskin wash mitt. First wash the truck with your normal wash mitt. Then go over it with the Nanoskin. You will be finished claying in 15 - 20 min. that will save you a tone of time.

What was you LSP? What products did you use and do you know how long they will last?

Personally I do a "spring" cleaning and a fall one. In between I do light washes to keep the dirt to a minimum, but honestly the less you touch the paint the less scratches, swirls, etc you will install. And black is a tough color. Good luck!

I don't know what LSP means but...
I used:
-Foam sprayed with Chemical Guys Maxi Suds
-Washed with Meguiar's gold class
-Meguiar's clay
-Poor boys Polish
-Poor boys Black Hole Glaze
-Poor boys EX Sealant
-P21s Wax

I agree I have been washing this black truck a lot less then I ideally would wash a vehicle.
