It is that time of year again and today momma fox came out of the den and her pups are starting to come out and explore for the first time.

It will be about another week yet before they all come out of the den but so far I have seen 3 pups.

They are staying hidden under the pine trees for now but once they get a little braver they will start wandering out into the yard and then I can get some pictures and see how many I have for sure.

Right now they are all gray with little white tips on their tails but it will not be too long before the start to get their reddish orange color.

Last year we had a total of 7 pups, however her litters vary in size year to year.

Pics would be nice, but can we get a video of them please? :D Im the MAN

Is this a "pet" fox that is in some type of enclosure, or just a casual observation of the wilflife in your back yard?

The fox in the den are wild.

They have been using the den by my house as a birthing den for about 6-7 years now.

They will be at the house for a few months then the mother will move them to a den near an old railroad track, that is kind of a habitat area now, that runs through the property.

This fox is a different one from the one that has been using the den all these years. (her markings are different) so I am curious about the litter size because she looks like a young mother.
