Sprint Car Racing in Florida

I thought I would share this with AutoGeek members being that a lot of you are in Fla. This picture on the cover was taken in Tampa,FL in 1972. It was kind of an introduction article to France about Sprint Car racing in the United States. I have searched and searched and cannot find anything out about the magazine or the printing company. I know it is a legit magazine because I own the only copy left in the world as far as I know. The cool thing about the cover is that is my Dad driving that car (Ron Perkins). The car was owned by Bob Trostle and Dave Van Patten. Jeff Gordon even drove Sprinters for Trostle when he was younger. I used to have a site up which you can find on google but I shut it down to rebuild somewhere other than msntv pagebuilder or tl2 which had shut down on me. Anyway Sprint Car Racing is why I am in Des Moines,Iowa 30 miles from Knoxville,Iowa the Sprint Car Capitol of the World...anyway babbled enough

That's a cool picture. I love Sprint Car racing. I love the old days, been to Knoxville many times, really miss the regular trips, lots of friends in central Mo into sprint cars.:cheers:
