spur the foam flex pad

I have a pad spur for my rotary wool pads and was wondering if i can use it for my flex foam pads.
Not real sure if you can spur foam pads

I've got that same spur pad tool. On the back of the spinning spurs there is a rough area for foam pads. I don't use that either. I use this brush Foam Pad Conditioning Brush cleans and reconditions foam and wool pads on the buffer. remove excess caked wax and polish from buffing pads. . The brush to knock off gumming. The side of the handle with the recesses can also be used on foam pads.
